"What happened in Dubuque was part of a regional trend: Counties up and down the Mississippi River that voted Democratic for generations switched this year to vote for Trump
Looking on a map, the wave is clear, and it extends into Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Obama twice carried all 10 counties on Iowa's eastern border. Clinton barely held onto one."
The Clinton News Network (CNN) and rest of the elite national media have become misanthropes. Why did all those peons the liberal elite dump on in fly over country dump back on election day?
CNN mounted a safari into the heart of darkness. They braved changing planes to reach an Eastern Iowa river county where Clinton lost. It could just as easily have been Des Moines County. Hillary lost here as well.
Unlike Hillary, CNN's report from deepest, darkest Iowa did not blame, the vast right wing conspiracy, fake news, the F. B. I. director, the Russians, etc. CNN pointed out it was the economy stupid and liberal social issues.
Besides fake news there is forgotten news. CNN never mentioned another reason voters in Eastern Iowa are mad. Liberals have used Section 8 housing to spread their failed social program's human misery to rural America.
Dubuque, Burlington and other cities in Eastern Iowa are experiencing an epidemic of crime. Drugs, murder, robbery, etc. have increased with the emigrants from liberalism's urban welfare wastelands.
If sending these people to Iowa was supposed insure more liberal voters, it backfired. There were more casualties of this election backlash than just Hillary. State Senator Tom Courtney is becoming ex-State Senator Tom Courtney.
Working people woke up this year. The Democrat Party has not been their friend for a long time.
The liberal elites running the Democrat Party better face up to what they have done to their old base. If not, the elitists may continue howling their absurd denials as to why in the wilderness.

"The Pentagon has buried an internal study that exposed $125 billion in administrative waste in its business operations amid fears Congress would use the findings as an excuse to slash the defense budget
, according to interviews and confidential memos obtained by The Washington Post.
Pentagon leaders had requested the study to help make their enormous back-office bureaucracy more efficient and reinvest any savings in combat power. But after the project documented far more wasteful spending than expected, senior defense officials moved swiftly to kill it by discrediting and suppressing the results.
The report, issued in January 2015, identified “a clear path” for the Defense Department to save $125 billion over five years. The plan would not have required layoffs of civil servants or reductions in military personnel. Instead, it would have streamlined the bureaucracy through attrition and early retirements, curtailed high-priced contractors and made better use of information technology."
